January 27th pictures

Another snowy day, more time spent in the ditch.

When you add a fungus to either cyanobacteria or green algae, you get lichen. Being a fan of symbiotic organisms, I liken it to likin’ lichen.

That didn’t even make sense, but I won’t apologize.

As always, I found some beautifully varied bark to admire.

    • Duly noted. 🙂 Thank you very much! I don’t know much about fungi but your above comment made me wonder if what I’ve been able to find is a rarity for the winter simply because the weather has been so much warmer than usual? Or maybe it’s all dormant? Anyway I’ve had some lucky finds.
