March 9th: rattlesnake master

I love all the little bristly hairs on rattlesnake master–very pretty texture. I also love the name rattlesnake master. It’s among the greatest flower names of all time.

    • It is! It’s also known as button eryngo, apparently. The southern part of MN here is about as far north as its range goes, down to Texas, and from the East Coast to about Colorado.

  1. Hi Sarah!
This is an interesting flower and a great picture. I’d message you, but I’m technically challenged here. Anyways, I just wanted to say how incredible I think your blog is. You’ve inspired me to pick my camera up again ad be ambitious enough to post some sort of insanity. For that, there are no words.
